American DJ and radio personality Robby Bridges introduced Allison Crowe to his audience on "The Variety Hour" originating on Cumulus Media's WEBE 108 in Connecticut. Bridges' tremendously popular, syndicated, US program's wide array of guests has included: journalist Bob Woodward (of Watergate fame); soul-singer Ben E King ("Stand By Me"); and Jewel ("Who Will Save Your Soul") - an early supporter of the Canadian musician.
Robby Bridges played five songs from Allison Crowe's albums - with a strong selection from "Tidings" (including "Let It Be") - and an interview for a total of 33 minutes with on air. The amiable host, who discovered the independent musician from the North online, tells us this is "the most airtime any guest has ever gotten in 109 shows...!"
It's a joy and honour to debut on major American radio with Robby Bridges - alongside this week's other guests: television and film actress Amy Smart; and journalist Richard Wolffe (longtime MSNBC commentator and Newsweek's Senior White House Correspondent).
Here's the generous portion of the "Variety Hour" devoted to music and chat with Allison Crowe.
(NB Should we ever locate higher fidelity audio of this broadcast we'll be sure to post it!)

Let It Be
Composed by John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Performed by Allison Crowe
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
Though they may be parted
There is still a chance that they will see
There will be no sorrow, let it be.
Let it be, let it be. Let it be, Let it be
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Though it may be cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on 'til tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
